Does Elemon believe in any kind of afterlife?
That’s a great question. We don’t have any hints of that belief yet, but my hunch is “no” because of their lack of belief in any gods or other spiritual elements.

I feel all bad now. I came up with a shiny shell clad invading alien empire for a D&D campaign
And anything I had resembling a good idea is a Thousand times better here.
I am sure your players will enjoy your creation because it is the world you made for them to have adventures in, regardless of how you perceive its quality compared to others. And that's what matters.
If you wanna make yourself miserable doing creative stuff then keep comparing yourself to people who are more experienced than you and decide you've lost. On the other hand you can see them as being a representation of what you can achieve one day and allow it to motivate you instead.

Yes, there will be several versions. The Elemon’s version can be found in the first Orken novel, “Orken: Field Reports From Edom.”

God the Elemon tbh kinda piss me off with how they treat Menials and the way they’ve tried to eradicate separate cultures, religions, and the diversity of such things
Yep, the empire definitely makes some terrible choices. What’s interesting to me is the potential for stories across the broad spectrum of morality among both the Elemon and the Khar. We get a glimpse in the first Orken novel, and I hope to see more in future books.
